* We use scoopable litter and litter crystals.

* It is important to isolate your new kitten for a few days and NOT bring it into immediate contact with other animals, cats or dogs.

Declawing a cat because of its natural tendency to sharpen its claws is a mutilation and should not be considered good for the cat. Behavioral problems may arise as a result of declawing such as biting and refusal to use the litter box. Nerve damage in the feet may also be a result. Please only consider laser declawing and only if this is a reason that the cat may lose it's home.

Bottled water should used, preferably distilled.

I recommend pureed chicken and goats milk as a supplement diet, however your kitten has been weaned off of this as a convenience for those of you that do not have time to make meals. I cook chicken livers and thighs and puree with chicken stock and add goats milk and baby rice cereal.

Canned pumpkin (not the pie mix) several times a week should help with hairballs.

NO MILK….NO MILK…..NO MILK….kitties are lactose intolerant after they are weaned, if you want to feed milk, give goats milk and start slowly.

Please do not over vaccinate your cat/kitten, and please do not let your vet do it. Remember this is a huge cash cow for vets. Over vaccinating your cat actually reduces it’s immunity and decreases T-cells and over a period of time can cause liver and kidney damage and it can and does cause irritable bowel syndrome in some cats. The FeLV vaccine is known to cause cancer at the injection site, the FIP vaccine is known to cause FIP in kittens. Rabies is a serious vaccine also and is NOT needed unless your cat goes outside, which being a Persian, that should not be allowed. You should wait at least three weeks between each separate vaccine. Giving them all at once slams the immune system and some cats never recover. The major vet universities are now recommending vaccinating ONCE every three years, NOT every year. If your vet wants to argue with you over this, find a new vet, he obviously does not have this cat/kitten’s health as his top priority.

Papers available upon request for pets, with a $25.00 application fee and proof of spay/neuter.
